What are your terms of sale?

In addition to this website, Surplus Industrial Supply also sells its equipment through an eBay store and local public warehouse. Because of this, all items advertised on this site are subject to prior sale, and all online orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. If we discover an error in the price or availability of any goods you have ordered, we will inform you of this error as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, substituting, or cancelling the order for a full refund. We strive to provide detailed specs and photos of our equipment to ensure that customers are satisfied with their purchase and have the best possible shopping experience every time.

Do you offer a warranty on your used equipment?

Most of the items we stock were known to be taken out of service in previously working condition. Items are guaranteed to arrive in working order, but do not come with an extended warranty period. In the event one of our items arrives in non-working condition, we will gladly exchange it for another one of our stocked items or refund the purchase price. Our liability with respect to defective goods shall be limited to refunding the purchase price and will not include incidental, consequential damages, lost profits, or any other expenses.

What is your return policy?

If an item arrives in non-working order or it is found we have mistakenly misrepresented an item through typographical or photographical error, we will gladly exchange it for another one of our stocked items or refund the purchase price. Otherwise, all used equipment items are “as is” and “with all faults” and with no returns. In certain circumstances, equipment may be able to be returned for in-store credit and/or with a 20% restocking fee.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, paypal, cash, company checks, and wire transfers as forms of payment prior to shipment. Sorry, no CODs.

Can you ship my order today?

We ship Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays. Most orders are shipped the same or next day after receiving full payment. When requested, we can typically ship your UPS/USPS items the same day if the paid order is received by 2 p.m. Eastern time. LTL/freight shipments are subject to the timing and limitations of the carrier being used and are not always possible to ship the same day. If you have an immediate need, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Do you ship outside the continental U.S.?

Our logistics department ships UPS/USPS packages worldwide, and full truckload/LTL freight shipments to any North American location. Additional fees may apply to cover regulatory crating, shipping, and customs paperwork requirements.

What is your shipping policy?

All shipping and freight costs are the responsibility of the purchaser and are not included in the equipment pricing.  All full truckload and LTL shipments are freight collect/third party prepaid, FOB Grand Rapids, Michigan, and extra skidding/preparation fees may apply.  We can provide you with a competitive shipping rate through one of our many logistics partners or we can work with your carrier. Customer should be prepared to have a forklift or loading dock available to unload heavy items and/or must request lift gate service prior to shipment. All items are required to be removed or shipped within 30 days of purchase, unless prior arrangements have been approved in writing. Items left beyond the 30 day time allowed will be subject to storage fees and/or forfeiture.

Can you make recommendations for my equipment needs?

Although our staff is highly knowledgeable about the types of equipment we sell, we do not make recommendations or design systems. We do not warrant that items purchased will conform with any plans or specifications of the purchaser or that it meets current federal, state, or local laws and regulations.

How do I know that shopping on your website is secure?

The safety and security of your personal information is of utmost importance to us. Our online shopping cart is equipped with digital certificate security software, VeriSign’s Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Encryption, to authenticate the identity of our website and encrypt data that is being transmitted. SSL is an industry standard used by millions of websites in the protection of their online transactions with their customers. Visual clues indicating SSL encryption include: a padlock to the left of our URL, https URL instead of http, a trust seal, and a green address bar.
